We all need a bit of self-care every now and then. You know what? I stopped myself from typing ‘indulge’ in a little self-care because it’s something we all need to do irrespective of what is going on in our lives.
To put it bluntly, self-care is crucial to help keep you going. Whoever you are, whatever you do you’re likely to have fewer hours in the day than you need and less money in the bank than bills you have to pay. Life can be stressful, and life doesn’t always go the way we want it to.
We can sit and sulk about that (although it’s ok to sit and sulk sometimes!) but we need to learn how to pick ourselves up afterwards.
We need to take ourselves off the hamster wheel sometimes and reflect on what is important to us – how to make our lives meaningful, and to enjoy happy moments in the moment.
Please do also take a look at Bright Mind Spirit which I set up in my son Hugo’s memory. It focuses on wellbeing, creativity, and communication.
I hope the resources on these pages provide useful insight and realistic inspiration. Life can suck sometimes, but we have to make the best of it.
