Sunday marks the second anniversary of Hugo’s death.
While I know from having survived other anniversaries and milestones that I shall survive this day too, it will be a difficult day.
On Hugo’s second birthday, his daddy and I did everything we could to celebrate our little boy’s life. We wanted to celebrate our son, how loved he was (and is!), how he changed our lives, and the impact this tiny boy has had on the world.
We would like to celebrate Hugo on Sunday (March 27), – and invite you to join us.
A few months ago we discovered that there is a cocktail called a Hugo. In a happy coincidence the cocktail contains some of my favourite ingredients – Prosecco and elderflower.
A Hugo Cocktail
It’s easy to put together – you just need to add some sparkling mineral water, and some mint leaves. If you’d like to see a recipe for quantities, try this one.
You might not like the ingredients of a Hugo cocktail, or have them handy. You might not drink, or you might have eaten too many Easter eggs to think about cocktails.
If you would like to be involved, just raise a glass to Hugo, make a toast in whatever way is appropriate for you.
And take a moment to think of what you have in your life that is worth celebrating.
If you are on social media, I’d love for you to share a picture or thought – tag it #HugosLegacy.
