Review: Blossoming Gifts

Flowers really are one of my greatest pleasures in life, so I jumped at the opportunity when the lovely people at Blossoming Gifts Flower Delivery got in touch to offer a bouquet for me to review.

The bouquet I chose from their Autumn Flowers range was the Autumn Haze range, priced at £29.99 and with free chocolates – always a winner in my book!

Included in the bouquet are scented red oriental lilies, lilac memory lane roses with purple eustoma and burgundy hypericum berries – so lots of purple and pink, my favourite!

In real life, the flowers did not disappoint. They arrived safely in a neat cardboard box, and even though many of the blooms were yet to flower it still boasted an array of colour.

My lilies were white rather than red. To be honest I didn’t notice until I looked back at the web page for the review – they were pretty, regardless in my view. Irrespective of the colour, their scent is still divine.

The bouquet was the perfect complement to my purple jumper! I loved the pop of yellow too.

I shared some of the flowers with Hugo at his grave garden.

Even with these removed, the arrangement didn’t look depleted especially as the lilies then blossomed.

The chocolates are mini-pralines. Each individual chocolate is a bit smaller than you’d get in the average box of chocolates, making them a treat with less guilt. And who says you have to share them?

Yummy chocolates.

The flowers I received were the second sent by Blossoming Gifts. The first arrived when I’d popped out for 10 minutes (typical!). Usually our postman leaves things with a neighbour, but for some reason on this occasion they took it back to the sorting office and left one of those red cards through the door. This was Saturday, meaning the earliest I would be able to collect them was Monday, but in the event I was able to get there on Tuesday.

My poor flowers were a little the worse the wear for their unexpected stay in the sorting office, and rather thirsty too. The box quite clearly says ‘fresh flowers’, so why the postman took them to the sorting office is a mystery.

Blossoming Gifts was wonderful when I got in touch to say what had happened. Even though it wasn’t their fault the flowers didn’t reach me in perfect condition, they sent me another bouquet. Brilliant service – things will always go wrong especially through the post – I always think the way companies deal with things when they go wrong says a lot about them, so Blossoming Gifts receive high praise from me.

Want to treat someone special (or yourself?) Blossoming Gifts is offering a very generous 33% discount to all my lovely readers.

There are bouquets to suit all budgets, with stunning flowers available for less than £20 (the link says ‘cheap flowers’, but they are so lovely the name does them a disservice.

The only bouquets exempt from the discount are in the ‘Flowers By Post’ range. However, this is only a small range, leaving you with plenty of other beautiful blooms to choose from.

Disclosure: Blossoming Gifts sent me these flowers and chocolates in exchange for an honest review. All words and opinions are mine.
These are the roses two weeks after they arrived. Past their best by that time of course, but still so pretty!
